MPH Alumni Publications: Joanne Edwards & Samson Chan

Joanne has published research resulting from her MPH practicum on small water systems and drinking water advisories with BCCDC/NCCEH.  Journal of Water and Health Vol 10 No 4 pp 629–649, "Characteristics of small residential and commercial water systems that influence their likelihood of being on drinking water advisories in rural British Columbia, Canada: a cross-sectional study using administrative data" (Joanne E. Edwards, Sarah B. Henderson, Sylvia Struck and Tom Kosatsky).

Samson's paper entitled “High-dose frequency beta-interferons increase the risk of liver test abnormalities in multiple sclerosis: a longitudinal study” (S. Chan, E. Kingwell, J. Oger, E. Yoshida and H. Tremlett) has been accepted in Multiple Sclerosis.  Click here to access paper.

Jill Chettiar wins CIHR Master's Award

Congratulations Jill! Jill is examining risk environments for female sex workers in Metropolitan Vancouver, and how these physical and social environments are constructed and reinforced by systemic barriers presented to women.
